Does anything change for the end user?

Nothing. Same teams, same services, same contracts, same commitments. The Infomaniak Foundation (Fondation Infomaniak in Swiss) retains the majority of voting rights: no one can buy out Infomaniak without its consent.
What is traded on the stock exchange is a share of Infomaniak's economic value. Not its independence.

Why the stock exchange listing?

Going public provides the company with the means to move faster for the benefit of consumers:

Easier financing of its next steps, if needed: new data centers, new hires, investments in artificial intelligence.

Even greater transparency: results and key decisions are now published according to strict rules. This is a sign of trust, especially for large companies and public bodies.

Retaining teams and attracting sought-after experts.

Instead of opening its share capital to a single investor, it opted for the transparency of a Swiss stock exchange listing, open to all who share the company's values.

Does the data remain equally protected?

Yes. The data remains in Switzerland, in their own data centers, with the same teams and the same contracts. The know-how also remains in Switzerland: they design and manage their own infrastructure and software.

Commitments to privacy and the environment remain unchanged. Data is not sold or used for commercial purposes, and these principles – set out in the Participation Charter – can only be strengthened.
