Yes from today you can zoom in Instagram in photos and videos that have been uploaded to the service.
Instagram says the new feature will be released for the first time with iOS today.
It seems that Instagram is finally starting to shape its platform for more serious photographers and not just members of social media. Multiple aspect ratios will help you share and see pictures better, while zooming in will show you details.

The Instagram app will still let you rotate it phone your to view landscape images, even now that you can zoom in on them.
Of course you will need some upgrade to the maximum width of 1080 pixels.
Think we already have QHD smartphones and 4K when most do not even have HDTV.
As for Android users they will have to wait a little longer for the new zoom feature. According to the company, it will be released "in the coming weeks." There are currently no reports for Windows Phone support.
