Η Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is preparing to release the first major update of iOS 8 today, adding all the new features like SMS Relay, Apple Pay and Instant Hotspot, as well as at least one feature from iOS 7, were removed in iOS 8, the Camera Roll.
iOS 8.1 is expected to be released today, through the known channels, i.e. over-the-air or traditionally, from iTunes.
Apple Pay is starting today
On October 16, shortly after the announcement of the new iPads and iMacs, Apple confirmed in a press release that "its customers can start making one-touch payments from Monday, October 20, when Apple Pay will be available in the US. ”
“The service will be activated after an update software for iOS 8,” the company said. That update turned out to be iOS 8.1, which is scheduled to be released by Apple today sometime during the day.
"Our team has worked incredibly hard to make Apple Pay secure, with one-touch payments," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of software and Internet services. "Apple Pay is amazing. We will continue to add more banks, credit card companies and merchants to Apple Pay and I believe users will be thrilled. "
SMS Relay
Starting today, Mac & iPhone owners can use their desktop computers to send and receive not only iMessages over Wi-Fi, but also SMS messages, thanks to the new Yosemite. Apple requires iOS 8.1 update to enable this mode.
Instant Hotspot
Another feature that allows iOS 8.1 is the ability to connect your Mac to the Internet via your iPhone without tether. The feature automatically detects nearby iPhone and places it on the list of available wireless connections. When Wi-Fi is no longer available, it continues with 3G internet without any problems.
Camera Roll, iCloud Photo Library
Camera Roll returns with iOS 8.1. Also, iCloud Photo Library will allow you to save your photos directly to iCloud without saving them in the phone's physical memory.
The feature is still in beta version so be careful with naked selfies.
