In one long post on Truth Social on February 27, President Trump ordered all federal agencies to “immediately cease all use of Anthropic's technology” after heated disagreements between the Department of Defense and the artificial intelligence company. 
A few hours later, the US carried out a major airstrike on Iran with the help of Anthropic's artificial intelligence tools, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Trump’s post stated that there would be a phase-out of Anthropic’s technology over six months (threatening Anthropic “better come to their senses and be useful during this phase-out period, or I will use the Full Power of the Presidency to force them into compliance, with significant civil and criminal consequences to follow.”)
Anthropic's Claude technology was also used by the US military less than two months ago in its operation in Venezuela. It is said to be the first AI programmer known to have been used in a classified US War Department operation.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Anthropic's technology found its way into the mission through Anthropic's contract with Palintir.
