Then we had a statement from the Pentagon representative Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder who reported that the object shot down on Saturday was first spotted over Alaska on Friday night. Two F-22 fighter jets "tracked the object" with assistance from the Alaska Air National Guard, Ryder's statement said, "and took time to characterize the nature of the object."

“Tracking continued today as the object passed into Canadian airspace, with Canadian CF-18 and CP-140 aircraft joining the formation to further evaluate the object. A US F-22 shot down the object over Canadian soil using an AIM 9X missile.” his statement continued…
It is unclear what the object is, whether it is related to the spy balloon that was shot down last week or the unidentified object that was shot down over Alaska on Friday.
