Jelly: A Kickstarter funding campaign that promotes the world's smallest 4G smartphone has already surpassed the amount of 56.954 dollars and reached 726 supporters while it still has 34 days to end. The project concerns the construction of a small phone running Android 7.0 Nougat and supporting the 4G network.
Unihertz, the team behind the idea, describes the smartphone as "the ultimate answer in any case where using a large, expensive master phone is annoying". The main point of course that the phone finance campaign focuses on is its size.
While its sizes screen of smartphones are getting bigger and bigger (a good example is Samsung's Galaxy S8+, which has a 6,2-inch screen) there are some users who prefer smaller smartphones, which is why manufacturers often provide Mini versions of standard models.
But Unihertz provides consumers with a small, handy secondary phone that fits even in the smallest pocket of your jeans.
Due to its size, it suits the needs of users in many situations where it would be inconvenient to carry a bulky device with them and would prefer to leave it in the home.
The Jelly smartphone comes in two choices, one that comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage, while the other provides consumers with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
The size of the phone did not prevent developers from equipping the tiny phone with a 2MP front camera and 8MP optical sensor, along with a quad core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. Its screen is LCD 2,45 inch. The device also comes with a gyro and GPS sensor, along with Dual Nano SIM support.
