When I use JPEG, GIF, or PNG

JPEG, GIF, or PNG; If you work with images, you probably know that some file formats may be better than others, depending on where you want to use them. The following infographic shows you where to use JPEG, GIF and PNG files for best results.

The infographic was created by Who Is Hosting This  and is designed to help you choose the right file type when saving an image.

Let's say the JPEG files have the ability to reduce file size up to 15% without loss of quality, making it useful for websites that want faster results and less storage space.

GIF files allow transparency and animation, but are good for simple images with few colors. PNG files can be used for logos.
