After two years of development, Offensive Security, creator of the famous BackTrack Linux distribution, today announced 9 February that the first point release for the operating system Kali Linux which is designed for penetration testing and digital forensics, is available for download.
Upgraded with the Linux 3.18 kernel, and has been repaired for wireless injections attacks. Kali Linux's first-point version brings support for new hardware, such as support for NVIDIA Optimus, better wireless driver support, renewed toolboxes (virtualbox-tools, vmware-tools, openvm-tools).
Also updated the wallpapers grub screens, it brings too many repairs to the code, as reported by official announcement.
You can download Kali Linux 1.1.0 in versions of 64 and 32-bit from the links below.
Keep in mind, however, that Kali Linux 1.1.0 is a rolling traffic distribution and you should not download these ISO if you install all the updates.
