Kali Linux 2016.1 the first rolling version

Offensive Security today announced the release of the first rolling version of Kali Linux's Penetration Testing Operating System. The new version came after many users' requests.

Kali Linux 2016.1 is the first Rolling (rolling) version of Kali Linux and comes after five months of research. It brings the latest and greatest penetration testing tools, as well as a new database synchronized with the software repositories of the Debian GNU / Linux 9.0 "Stretch" operating system.

"Today marks an important milestone for us with the first public release of the Kali Linux rolling stock. "The Kali is moving to a rolling version model from the release of version 2.0 (codenamed SANA)," the statement said.

As mentioned before, the Kali Linux Rolling Edition will always have the latest and greatest penetration testing tools as pre-installed packages in their latest releases.

Also, in the new Kali Linux 2016.1 includes the Kali Linux Package Tracker, an online tool that allows users to monitor the evolution of their operating system via a powerful web-based interface or via e-mail. There have also been some major changes to the VMware visitor tool installation process.

The upgrade process is pretty easy. All you have to do is run the following commands one by one.
