The TOP3 index, developed annually and used internally by Kaspersky Lab, measures overall the performance of 100 and now security solutions providers involved in various benchmarking of corporate and consumer products as well as mobile solutions.
For the development of the index, only recognized and independent laboratories whose methods are transparent and clear, such as AV-Comparatives, AV-TEST, Dennis Technology Labs, MRG Effitas and others, are taken into account. Tests evaluate all protection technologies against known, unknown and advanced threats.
In Kaspersky Lab's TOP3 measurement, each provider receives a score based on the number of times found in the top three ranking positions, depending on the number of trials they have participated in. Kaspersky Lab products participated in 94 independent testing during 2015 and ranked 60 first - the best in the industry.
Kaspersky Lab products also achieved the highest incidence rate in the top three test locations from any other supplier (82%).
