KB4012218 & KB4012219: In previous publication we mentioned that from March 2017 the updates for Windows 7 και τα Windows 8.1 θα φέρουν και το νέο Windows Update which will be able to detect the processor model, effectively removing the ability to update old systems to computers using new processors.
As it seems, Microsoft did not stop talking, and released the updates KB4012218 for Windows 7 and Windows Server & Hosting 2008 R2, but also the KB4012219 for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 - 2012 R2 last night.
These updates are currently only available through Microsoft's Update Catalog, and are not subject-specific security.
They are designed to provide system administrators, as well as ordinary users, with the ability to test cumulative updates on their operating systems before they are officially released through the Windows Update.
What is particularly interesting about these two preview versions is that they introduce for the first time the detection of the device's processors.
As you know, Microsoft has announced some time ago that it will no longer support the latest generation of processors in older versions of Windows. The time has come with the KB4012218 and KB4012219 updates.
So for now, those who do not want the specific limitation from Microsoft, it would be good to avoid the specific bulletins (KB4012218 & KB4012219), at least until the company to do them obligatorily…
