KB4462933 on Windows 10 problems and fixes

Η released cumulative update KB4462933 on October 24. The update was supposed to improve and patch systems running the OS April 2018 Update (version 1803).

Although there were no problems reported for this update initially, Microsoft provided more information about problems you may experience after installing it by confirming two different errors in Windows 10.kb4462933

The first is an issue in KB4462933 that reportedly crashes the developer tools in Microsoft Edge. Launching the tools from the menu does not work according to Microsoft, which states that the it can be temporarily fixed until the next update.

So in Windows 10 x64, to restore the developer tools, you must log in to an administrator account and delete the following file:

C: \ Windows \ SystemApps \ Microsoft.MicrosoftEdgeDevToolsClient_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ microsoft.system.package.metadata \ Autogen \JSByteCodeCache_64

On x86bit Windows, delete the following file and then you will need to restart the program :

C: \ Windows \ SystemApps \ Microsoft.MicrosoftEdgeDevToolsClient_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ microsoft.system.package.metadata \ Autogen \JSByteCodeCache_32

KB4462933's second problem is an error that Microsoft says could happen after the September 11 2018 .NET Framework update installation.

"Once you install the .NET Framework update on September 11, 2018, delivering SqlConnection can cause problems," says Microsoft.

There is also a temporary way of dealing with it. If you want to go on yourself you can find all the instructions you will you need it here.

Microsoft is preparing to release new cumulative updates next Tuesday, November 13.
