KB4601319 go again Problems with File History and webcam

It seems that the latest update of Windows 10 is causing problems with the system backup tool called "File History" for some users. In addition to backup issues, several users have also found that the update interrupts webcam operation, interrupts applications, and does not install them in some cases.

For those who do not know, File History is the default backup solution for Windows 10 and allows you to take snapshots of your files and save them on a USB stick or elsewhere on your home network.

File History is a "set-it-and-forget-it backup solution", but as it appears after the update KB4601319 (February 2021 update) does not work.

In community forum Microsoft (2), in the Feedback Hub and Reddit, many users have reported problems with the operation of "File History".

A user reports that “Backup options” appears on the screen after a noticeable και η διαδικασία απλώς αποτυγχάνει με το σφάλμα “Τα δεδομένα σας δεν έχουν ακόμη δημιουργήσει αντίγραφα ασφαλείας”. Όταν οι χρήστες κάνουν in the “Backup Now” option, the “Cancel” button appears and the backup function does not work.

Another attempt to run the backup tool fails with the following message:
"We can not copy files to the File History drive. Failed to start backing up user data (Error 80070005) ”.

“I've been having the exact same problem since February 10, 2021. Tried a full File History reset: deleted settings files, deleted backup folder. I changed the destination to another drive and the problem still exists. Removing update KB4601319 fixed the problem,” reports another user.

The good news is that uninstalling update KB4601319 fixes the problem for all affected users.

Microsoft has not yet recognized the error with the File History tool, but confirmed that it is investigating issues with the webcam that affect the feature of Windows Camera and Windows Hello.
