KB5001567 fixes KB5000802

Windows 10 just received an error update Blue Screen of Death “APC_INDEX_MISMATCH” and “win32kfull.sys”.

The update is released for the 20H2 / 2004 version of Windows 10 via Windows and fixes all printer issues that occurred after installing KB5000802 and other security updates.

Updates KB5000802, KB5000803, KB5000808 and other cumulative updates that released on March 9th proved to be very problematic for devices that use certain printer drivers. After the update, users could not use Kyocera, Ricoh and others printers.

In some cases, updating to Windows 10 KB5000802 also resulted in printing problems in certain software, such as LibreOffice, Notepad. PDF printing functions were even rarely affected.

The patch on the market today fixes all printer problems. For version 20H2, the hotfix is ​​Windows 10 KB5001567, which is currently labeled "optional quality update".

If you are still using version 1903/1909, Microsoft reports that your device will receive update KB5001566 to fix a problem that might cause a blue screen "APC_INDEX_MISMATCH" when using applications to print to specific printers.

These updates will not be automatically installed on your computer, at least not yet.

If you want the update now, you can get the cumulative update by manually downloading it from Windows Update. You can apply the hotfix by clicking the "Download and Install" button. Once you are done, you will need to restart your device to correct the printing errors.

The second method for of the cumulative update is to download it directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog site, where you will find the download links for Windows 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit respectively.

Microsoft plans to include these patches in April 2021 in the Patch Tuesday, which is scheduled for release on April 13.
