KDE Project today released KDE Frameworks 5.79, a monthly open source software update that contains 83 additional libraries in Qt to provide the functionality required in the KDE Plasma interface.

System Settings has been updated to avoid error while navigating the "Appearance" tab of the Screen Lock page.
This version also adds support for KDE applications to remember their minimized or maximized window state when they are closed and reopened, adds the ability to edit the .desktop file without "freezing" the Plasma desktop session.
KDE Frameworks 5.79 brings a new icon disk and better support for disk gadgets with expandable task lists when using non-default fonts or font sizes
