The popular KeePass app has just released version 2.46. For those unfamiliar with the application it is a password manager that stores data encrypted locally. It is the password manager that I use and recommend unreservedly as I do not like the idea of my passwords in the cloud.
Of course, the app has plugins if you want to expand its features, such as synchronizing your data between different devices.
If you're already using the app, just check for new updates and you can upgrade it. Those who do not use it can download it from the link at the end of the post. The software is usually available as an .exe installation as well as a portable version. KeePass 2.46 comes with new features and fixes for the most part.
Several improvements have been made to the control of existing passwords. It should be mentioned that the database with the passwords you have saved, works perfectly on other platforms, e.g. with Strongbox or KeePasssium on iOS or with the Cross-Platform client KeePassXC.
Download the application
- Installer for Windows (2.46): KeePass-2.45-Setup.exe
- Portable (2.46): KeePass-2.45.zip
