China hypersonic missile at $99.000

A private company in China has developed a hypersonic missile that costs as much as a Tesla Model X. The missile, the YKJ-1000, is on sale for $99.000 and is currently in mass production after successful tests. The cost of purchasing the missile is far less than what countries that try to shoot it down will spend.

In addition to being low cost, they can be launched from anywhere. The launcher doesn't look like a launcher. In other words, the launchers for these missiles are hidden in plain sight.

To keep the price low, the missile reportedly uses civilian-grade materials and widely available commercial components, along with simpler manufacturing methods such as die-casting. There are also broader savings from leveraging mature supply chains and utilizing China's large-scale civilian industrial base.

But no one yet knows the missile's true capabilities, but that doesn't matter that much.

Accuracy doesn't matter that much. Payload doesn't matter that much.

If it is launched at a specific target in Tel Aviv, it will hit something in Tel Aviv again, and the Israelis will have no choice but to attempt an interception, spending millions to do so. And if many of them are launched at once, that will pose unprecedented threats to everyone.
