The new Kingston DataTraveler 2000 was created with the sole purpose of providing top security for the important files that need to be shipped from one place to another, so that they can not see unauthorized people by accidentally forgetting the drive in an office or losing it.

The DataTraveler 2000 features a hardware-based full disk, with AES 256-bit data encryption and also comes with an innovative PIN code.

Whenever someone wants to access drive data or connect the USB drive to a new computer, then you must enter the alphanumeric PIN to allow access.

The new USB drive offers protection against a brute force grab as it is designed to self-lock by erasing the encryption key and file password after ten invalid attempts s.

In addition, DataTraveler can also be configured to lock, and each time it is removed from an authenticated computer and entered into a host to require the PIN.

The device is standalone, requires no software, and is also made of aluminum that protects it from dust and water.

New Kingston product comes with the cross-OS, ChromeOS and Android, and comes in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It is estimated to hit store shelves towards the end of the 1st quarter of 2016.
