The developers of the powerful, free, open code digital painting software Krita have announced the release of Krita 3.3.1.
The Krita app is a graphics editor that uses the Qt 5 and the KDE 5 framework. Krita is designed to be a digital painting application.
It has been influenced to some extent by software such as Corel Painter and SAI. The app comes bundled with some essentials functions a few different features from most applications of its kind, including the ability to work with both bitmap and vector illustration.
Application developers are also trying to simplify user interaction and focus on features that are more relevant to painting and drawing.
Krita is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License (version 2). It was originally released as part of KOffice version 1.4.0 on June 21, 2005.
The program it can run in Windows environments (also available in the Windows Store), Linux, Mac OSX for both X64 or X86 architectures.
