The new Kyocera phone will be washed with soap and water

Kyocera Corporation has announced the release of the new Rafre smartphone that can be washed with soap and water.

Kyocera

Nice curved screens and AR cameras but here we are talking about a totally fancy but also useful property of a mobile phone. It shines from cleanliness but also works when you shower.

The Rafre model is actually the second waterproof phone in soap and water by Kyocera, as the first with these qualities was introduced towards the end of 2015. But this time, the Android device has as a bonus an added resistance to common soap suds , so you can take it into the shower with you if you like it to be as clean as you are.

According to the manufacturer the new rafre is resistant to hot water and its touchscreen will be usable even when the user's hands are wet or wearing gloves. Additionally, the new device will be equipped with a dedicated cooking app that will allow users to browse recipes, set timers and respond to through gestures, without having to touch the screen. This will allow the use of the smartphone while the users' hands may be dirty with cooking materials.

Currently, the device will be available from March 2017 only in Japan and will be available in three colors: pale pink, white and light blue. Its price has not yet been determined.

It is expected to run Android Nougat, have a rear camera 13- and a 3,000mAh battery.
