Kyocera Corporation has announced the release of the new Rafre smartphone that can be washed with soap and water.
Nice curved screens and AR cameras but here we are talking about a totally fancy but also useful property of a mobile phone. It shines from cleanliness but also works when you shower.
The Rafre model is actually the second waterproof phone in soap and water by Kyocera, as the first one with these attributes was introduced towards the end of 2015. This time, however, the Android device has a bonus and added resistance to the fading of common body soaps so you can take it with you if you like it as clean as you.
According to the manufacturer the new rafre is resistant to hot water and its touchscreen will be usable even when the user's hands are wet or wearing gloves. In addition, the new device will be equipped with a special application of cooking that will allow users surf recipes, start timers and answer calls with gestures, without having to touch the screen. This will allow the use of the smartphone while the users' hands may be dirty with cooking materials.
For now the device will be available from March 2017 only in Japan and will be offered in three colors: pale pink, white and light blue. Its price has not yet been determined.
It is expected functional of being Android Nougat, having a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery.
