The upcoming LG V30 smartphone LG Electronics will feature a f / 1.6 aperture in one of the dual camera on the back, according to the company.
Its predecessor, V20, features a f / 1,8 aperture lens. Let's say that the smaller the diaphragm number, the more light the sensor can get. So the LG V30 lens will be about 25% brighter, according to LG.
The phone will have a dual camera on the back, one of which will use the f / 1.6 aperture lens and another regular wide angle lens.
The new camera will allow for brighter and more vibrant pictures and videos.
The normal angle camera uses a "crystal clear lens" for the first of six lenses, which absorbs light directly, according to the company. The crystal clear lens, compared to a conventional plastic lens, has a much higher rate of transmission of visible light for more emphasis on detail, something that is found in DSLR + cameras, added the company.
The wide-angle camera has also been upgraded to reduce the distortion by a third compared to the V20 wide-angle camera.
The normal angle camera will be in 1,6 megapixel and wide angle at 1,3 megapixel.
The phone will be unveiled on August 31 on the sidelines of the IFA event in Berlin.
The new phone will also be the first of LG's flagships to feature a full-vision OLED display. It will also feature an 18: 9 display like G6, released earlier this year.
