LibreOffice 6.1.2: The Document Foundation announced version 6.1.2 of the LibreOffice suite 6.0. It is the second minor release of the LibreOffice 6.1 series that was released on early August of 2018 for all supported platforms.
LibreOffice 6.1 has been developing for the past six months and comes with new features such as enhanced image management functionality that is significantly faster and smoother, especially when you open documents created in Microsoft Office.
LibreOffice 6.1.2 also has a new Page menu and organizes the Draw menu again for better coherence in the different sections. The new version comes with an improved EPUB Extraction Filter with additional metadata customization options and better support for links, images, tables, footnotes and embedded fonts.

Another important improvement is that the mechanism baseFirebird database engine is now enabled by default, replacing the old HSQLDB database engine. The developers recommend all interested parties to convert their files from HSQLDB to Firebird using the helper conversions or by exporting them to an external HSQLDB server.
