The Document Foundation, via Italo Vignoli, announced on Twitter about a new product that will be released sometime in the near future. The new product is called LibreOffice Online, and will be a free alternative for services such as Google Docs and Office 365.
It's fantastic news for all open source users around the world, as LibreOffice will soon be accessible from the cloud thanks to the new platform LibreOffice Online, which will allow you to create documents like Office Online, from anywhere, regardless of functional computer system.
"Thanks to the growing number of companies investing in the development of LibreOffice, we are well on our way to making the application available on every platform, including the cloud. We are grateful to IceWarp for providing the resources to further develop LibreOffice Online, ”said Eliane Domingos de Sousa, Director of the Document Foundation.
