“MX Linux 25.2 is available. All versions have updated Debian kernels 6.12.90, except Xfce-AHS which has Liquorix kernel 7.0.9.

Additionally, AHS-enabled versions now have Mesa 26.0.1. The new release includes all Debian updates up to Debian 13.5 and all updates from the MX repositories, including updates for all the latest “meme bugs” in the Linux kernel.

There are some specific updates to note this time. AntiX live system updates: some initial installation actions during live boots have been moved from rc.local. Improvements to the live-kernel-updater application, which will now support simultaneous installation of multiple kernels. Kernels are selectable in GRUB boot menus, used by default during UEFI boot, and selectable in legacy/BIOS boots.

Thanks to changes in the version of the init-diversity-tools package, semi-automatic persistence storage returns to SysV init live boots.”
