Linux Lite 3.0 offers great flexibility and usability for both recent Microsoft migrants and experienced Linux users.
Linux Lite is a friendly distribution for every beginner and is based on the distribution of long-term Ubuntu support (LTS). It comes with Xfce desktop. Linux Lite as we mentioned above is primarily for Windows users. Its goal is to provide a complete set of applications that will help users in their everyday needs.
All system controls and settings are located in Settings on the main menu screen as you can see in the above image. Windows users will find a very close resemblance to the Control Panel in this operating system. Even new entrant Linux users will not need much exploration to browse Linux Lite.
Currently, Linux Lite 3.4 Final is released.
The new Linux Lite continues to focus on Security by providing a newer Lite Updates app.
This app sends you desktop notifications informing you of all available updates.
Continuing with security features, it's worth mentioning Lite Welcome with a new look It will help every new entrant in the operating system, easily install the updates, the necessary drivers and set a restore point.
This version also brings 4 new features to Lite Tweaks: Hibernate & Suspend, login and logout options, Sessions Manager and Storage, and zRam.
With Hibernate & Suspend, you can choose whether or not to display these options on the Logout screen.
The "Login and Logout" feature allows the administrator to enable or disable logon and logout options.
These new 2 features are especially useful for multi-user settings. ZRam is a compressed RAM format for faster input / output and is ideal for older computers.
