Linux Mint 19.2 Tina final ISO before the official announcement

The new Mint Linux 19.2 Tina operating system has just been released and it is available for λήψη ahead of its official launch later this week.

Earlier this week, Project Manager Linux Mint, Clement Lefebvre, Reported that the Mint 19.2 Tina operating system will be officially released this week for all supported flavors, such as: Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce.

But as you can see, the final ISO images of Linux Mint 19.2 have been uploaded to the distribution's main repository and are ready for download, as long as you have the download left.

So you can install the operating system on the staff computer if you don't want to wait for the official announcement later this week.

This happens every time before the official release of a new major version of Linux Mint, as it takes a long time for the ISOs to go up in all repositories.

This also means that these ISO images will be the same as those of the official release.

The Linux Mint 19.2 Tina distribution is based on the Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (Bionic Beaver) operating system, and features the latest Cinnamon 4.2, MATE 1.21 and Xfce 4.2 desktop environments. It runs on the Linux 4.15 kernel of Ubuntu, as it has many updated applications.
