Η ομάδα του Linux Mint δημοσίευσε μια νέα έκδοση της διανομής που βασίζεται στο Debian. Η νέα έκδοση, Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) 4, is based on Debian 10 and comes with the Mint team's Cinnamon desktop.
"This new version of it LMDE contains many improvements, some of the main ones: Automated disk partitioning with support for LVM and full encryption, Home directory encryption, support for automated program installation and drivers of NVIDIA. Υποστήριξη για NVMe, υποστήριξη Secure Boot Btrfs, υποστήριξη υπομονάδων, νέο πρόγραμμα εγκατάστασης, αυτόματη εγκατάσταση πακέτων μικροκώδικα, αυτόματη ανίχνευση ανάλυσης για το live Session to a minimum of 1024×768 in VirtualBox.
Improvements from Mint 19.3 (HDT, Boot-repair, System reports, settings languages, HiDPI and artwork improvements, Gnote, Drawing, Cinnamon 4.4, XApp status icons … etc) APT recommends are enabled by default.
The deb-multimedia repository and packages were removed. Debian 10 Buster package base me backports.
