The Linux Mint team has released a new version of the Debian-based distribution. The new edition, Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) 4, is based on Debian 10 and comes with Surface work Cinnamon by the Mint team.
"This new version of it LMDE contains many improvements, some of the main ones: Automated partitioning of disk with support for LVM and full encryption, Home directory encryption, support for automated installation of NVIDIA programs and drivers. Support for NVMe, Secure Boot Btrfs support, Submodules support, New Installer, Auto install microcode packages, Auto detection resolution for the live session at a minimum of 1024×768 in VirtualBox.
Improvements from Mint 19.3 (HDT, Boot-repair, System Reports, settings language, HiDPI and artwork improvements, Gnote, Drawing, Cinnamon 4.4, XApp status icons … etc) APT recommends are enabled by default.
The deb-multimedia repository and packages were removed. Debian 10 Buster package base me backports.
