Philip Müller has announced the release of Manjaro Linux 26.1, the latest stable version of the rolling distribution with separate GNOME, KDE Plasma, and Xfce editions.
The new release updates the default Linux kernel to version 7.1:
“Manjaro Linux 26.1 Bian-May” has been released. Since Xahea was released in October 2024, we have been working hard to release the next version of Manjaro. We are calling it “Bian-May”.
The GNOME version has received several updates for the GNOME 50 series. This includes many fixes to GNOME since it was released.
The Plasma version comes with the latest Plasma 6.7 series with KDE Gear 26.04. It uses the new Qt 6 and Wayland platforms for Plasma on top of Kernel 6.12, as well as the latest drivers released to date.
