Philip Müller Manjaro lead developer Project announced the release of Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara, the latest stable version of the distribution based on Arch.
The distribution Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara officially has KDE and Xfce as default desktops but also in several "flavors" developed by the community (Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, GNOME, i3, LXQt).
This version updates the KDE Plasma desktop to the 5.9.3 version:
“The KDE edition continues to deliver the powerful, mature and rich desktop environment with a unique look and feel, and with the benefits of Manjaro's latest tools. The Plasma 5.9 desktop combined with the latest applications of KDE 16.12 is a huge step to make everything play together smoothly which will give the user the experience and feel like KDE 4 versions of the past. Manjaro Manager Settings provides an easy-to-use GUI for installing and uninstalling the many kernels we offer.”
Let's mention the new version Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara comes with the installer update calamares, it wears the Linux Kernel 4.9 LTS, and more.
