Events for the "Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions" in the program "Horizon 2020"

marie-curieThe European Commission, in with the European one of the PEOPLE Network+ National Contact Points and with the support of the ESF, is organizing an event for the Scientific Excellence program “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions” in the Horizon 2020 program for EU Research and Innovation. The event will take place on 10 March 2014 in Athens (National Research Foundation, Vas. Konstantinou 48).

The aim of the event is to present the new calls for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie scholarships, whose budget amounts to 800 million euros for the period 2014-2015. These actions for the scientific career in promote the mobility of researchers within Europe, the transfer of know-how and the attraction or repatriation of the best researchers from other countries to Europe.

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Scholarships, a popular program aimed at experienced researchers with a doctorate or at least four years of post-graduate research experience, allows them to access doctoral studies. Marie Sklodowska-Curie "mobility" scholarships invite European scientists to carry out their research work, lasting up to 3 years, in a country inside or outside Europe, different from their place of residence / work. In addition, they include actions for university networks and training of doctoral candidates, partnerships between universities and industry, short-term exchanges as well as the reintegration of European researchers returning from third countries to the EU.

Στην εκδήλωση θα παραβρεθούν οι εκπρόσωποι της Γενικής Διεύθυνσης για την Εκπαίδεση και τον Πολιτισμό της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, Alessandra Luccetti και Jordi Curell. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση θα δοθεί και στη διασύνδεση της έρευνας με την επιχειρηματικότητα, προωθώντας τις συμπράξεις μεταξύ πανεπιστημίων και βιομηχανίας, καθώς στην εκδήλωση θα συμμετάσχουν εκπρόσωποι του δικτύου Enterprise Network, των εγχώριων εμπορικών επιμελητηρίων, καθώς και μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις που δραστηριοποιούνται και στον χώρο της έρευνας.

Καθώς οι πρώτες προσκλήσεις για τις υποτροφίες Marie Sklodowska-Curie έχουν προκηρυχθεί, η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή διοργανώνει διαδικτυακό εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο για το Πρόγραμμα Marie Sklodowska-Curie στις 15 Ιανουαρίου 2014 (14:00-18:00, ώρα Βρυξελλών). Το σεμινάριο αφορά τις προκηρύξεις για τα καινοτόμα δίκτυα κατάρτισης (Innovative Training Networks-ΙΤΝs) και τις διατομεακές συμπράξεις στο πλαίσιο της ενέργειας ανταλλαγής προσωπικού για την έρευνα και την καινοτομία (Research and Innovation Staff - RISE), which have a closing date of April 2014.
