Mark Zuckerberg: buried TikTok at Trump dinner

Η TikTok αντιμετωπίζει προβλήματα το τελευταίο διάστημα από την κυβέρνηση Trump. Σύμφωνα όμως με μια δημοσίευση της Wall Street , Facebook was the one that started it all.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Mark Zuckerberg personally briefed President Donald Trump on the Chinese company during a dinner hosted by the US president late last year.

So Facebook not only "killed" a very fast-growing opponent, but also, according to Sen. spokesman Josh Hawley, used TikTok to distract lawmakers from the regulatory action they wanted on Facebook. According to Kelli Ford, she used the issue as a "regular PR tactic to strengthen Facebook."

Facebook has a reputation for not wanting competition, and historically it has proven this by either buying out its rivals or copying their product. However, Facebook's early attempts to copy TikTok failed completely, and due to greater regulation , was finding it increasingly difficult to acquire the company.

So Facebook, which supports every Washington lobby, has found a new way to "kill" competition, with TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer reporting that they were "maliciously attacked by our competitor - Facebook - who disguised himself as a patriot and planned terminate TikTok's presence in the USA ”.

TikTok currently has until November 12 to divest its US-based assets, with to want to buy the company, since of course he received the blessings of Donald Trump.
