The Mars 2020 Perseverance rover is scheduled to lift off this morning from Space Launch Complex 41 located very close to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The launch will take place at 2:50 PM, although live coverage will start from 2:00 PM tonight (Greece time), according to NASA. Perseverance is expected to reach Mars in February 2021.
Although the event will end on TV, you can plan to watch it online through NASA Live, the official live streaming service.
In addition to giving us the opportunity to watch the rover launch live, NASA has also put together a number of social media events and activities, with the hashtag #CountdownToMars. You will find many interesting things (such as educational toolkits and many photos of Mars). The main event is by a team at Facebook which is open to all users of social media.

- Take a tour of NASA's Kennedy Space Center
- Interact with NASA team members in real time
