Would you like to be able to write a simple Python program - the most popular of the programming 'new languages' - allowing you (among many others) to draw interesting data from the 'ocean' of the internet?
For example from the Public Expenditure Transparency program or from the ubiquitous social networks? This course is designed to give this skill to any citizen who is interested in acquiring it.
The course is 6 weeks long and requires no prior programming knowledge or experience. It covers introductory elements of the Python language, which is considered perhaps the most appropriate for a first encounter with programming. The course also covers the basic data structures and programming structures, includes a multitude of examples and exercises that are solved step by step, while focusing, in the last sections, on problems of retrieving and processing information from the Internet. The student who completes this course will be able to program in Python and solve interesting practical problems, such as retrieving information from web pages and creating simple games.

Mathesis courses are offered free of charge and will continue to be so. You can follow them to the end and participate in the weekly tests and the final exam. In most courses, however, you will be asked for a small fee - of the order of €20 - for the issuance of the certificate of successful attendance, as long as you are entitled to it having secured the required minimum performance of 50%. If you are unemployed, the certificate is issued free of charge.
