Mathesis courses are offered free of charge and will continue. You can watch them to the end and take part in the weekly and final exam.
What can I know? Under what conditions, that is, under what conditions, can I know and up to what limits?
Just a few years before the French Revolution, Kant attempted it Critique of pure Reason a similar "revolution of the way of thinking". It was intended to show how beings like us – "finite rational beings" – can have valid knowledge, without having to be guaranteed by someone outside of us: God or nature.
The first part of it Criticism it sets forth the conditions under which we can indeed have valid knowledge of the objects of our experience: the conditions under which we perceive objects with our senses and the conditions under which we think about those objects. The second part demonstrates the limits of our knowledge: why thought necessarily fails to refer to objects beyond experience.
The course attempts, in an introductory way, to give an overall picture of her project Critique of pure Reason. It also examines how Kant specifies the conditions of possible knowledge and leads to Metaphysical first principles of natural science. Some of its key terms and concepts are further explained Critique of pure Reason.
This course examines Kant's theoretical philosophy and is the first part of a series of three independent - but also interconnected - courses on the work of the great German thinker. The courses will be released in 2024, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Immanuel Kant.

In most courses, however, you will be asked for a small fee - of the order of €20 - for the issuance of the certificate of successful attendance, as long as you are entitled to it having secured the required minimum performance of 50%.
If you are unemployed, the certificate is issued free of charge. For our part, we consider this small consideration as your necessary contribution for the continuation of the operation of an institution that serves public purposes without accepting a single euro of direct or indirect state aid. It relies solely on donor support — which now only covers a small portion of its annual costs — and volunteer work. The continuation of the operation of Mathesis therefore also requires your active support.
In this spirit we consider it necessary before your participation in the final examination of the course that you undertake an ethical commitment towards Mathesis. That if you successfully complete the course and qualify for the attendance certificate, you will pay the nominal fee to obtain it, even if it has no obvious utility for you. A small step for you, but a necessary condition for the possibility of Mathesis to offer you the quality of courses it has offered you until now.
