The Financial Police & Cybercrime Service successfully held a conference by teleconference in schools of the country on internet safety
A conference was held today (11.04.2014), by the Financial Police & Cybercrime Prosecution Service, through a teleconference to approximately six hundred (600) students of the following schools:

Within the framework of the initiative of the Ministry of Public Order and Citizens Protection and the Hellenic Police Headquarters, the aforementioned teleconference on the subject of Internet security was implemented by the Financial Police and Electronic Crime Prosecution Service.
Through their interactive participation, the children were briefed by specialized officers on both the safety of the Internet and the dangers they have in navigating to it.
More specifically, officers of the Electronic Crime Investigation Division informed students about:

The mission of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office.

The purpose of organizing videoconferencing.

Offenses and the way they are committed through the internet, as well as prevention practices.

For online violence, the dangers posed by social networking sites and, in general, the prevention and management of the risks associated with new technologies.

Tipsters data, concerning the penetration of Greeks on the internet and the cases that the Cybercrime Prosecution is called to face.
Each week, specialist Cyber Crime Officers provide briefings to schools across the territory through the adoption of video conferencing technology alongside connection at multiple points. Video conferencing takes place in real time and allows speaking, discussion, questions and answers with remote speakers and listeners.
The purpose of the teleconferences is to make children aware, agefrom 5 to 18 years old and to be informed about the dangers that the internet hides, to learn more about the ways to deal with the challenges of the digital world and adapt to the new data.
It is noted that this specific initiative is supported by the Vodafone company and includes the new one service Microsoft 365.
