Ms. Heikkilä shared with the audience the technologies that matter most right now – a list that the organization compiles every year, looking for those technological developments that will have the biggest impact on our lives.

Among them were the application of AI "in everything" (AI for everything), "super-efficient" photovoltaics, the 3D camera Apple Vision Pro, drugs for weight loss, enhanced geothermal systems, chiplets that bring the revolution in processors, the first gene editing therapy, "exascale" computers, heat pumps, but also the so-called "Twitter killers", platforms that develop dynamics in the field of social networks.

He finally mentioned the four runner-up emerging technologies, one of which will be added to the list of 10 breakthrough technologies through public voting in the coming months, which are robotaxis, thermal batteries, lab-grown meat and SpaceX's spacecraft.
