Xiaomi's Mi Mix Alpha: The first screen that is also a phone

Xiaomi has unveiled a new phone called the Mi Mix Alpha, which is the first Android phone where the screen literally surrounds its body.

The company reports that the body-to-screen ratio is 180,6% and the non-screen parts are the top and bottom of the phone, as well as a thin column carrying the cameras.

The Mi Mix Alpha It is made of air titanium which is obviously lighter than stainless steel. Its main feature is its screen, which is wrapped around the phone. It also comes with an 108 megapixel camera that can take 12.032 x 9.024 pixel photos as well as a second wide-angle 20 megapixel camera.

It doesn't have the standard front-facing camera (the selfie camera), because you just don't need it, since the rear camera is on one screen and you can pretty well turn the 180 phone to the selfie you want.

Since the phone is almost all a huge screen, it does not have the classic physical buttons (except the power button at the top) and has pressure sensitive sides in place. His other goodies are hidden beneath the screen, such as the fingerprint reader and an audio technology that replaces the standard headphone and speaker.

Inside the Mi Mix Alpha device you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It supports 5G and comes with a 4.050mAh battery. Xiaomi says the phone is already in "small-scale production" and will launch in December. It is still unclear whether it will be available outside of China.

Its starting price is currently estimated at 19,999 yuan (or about $ 2,810). Although Xiaomi says the screen will have a hard layer of protection, we don't want to think about what will happen if you get out of hand.
