After a semi-painful injection between the thumb and the index, a microchip is implanted into the worker. Once a cyborg was created, a machine man!
It sounds futuristic, like the Movies science fiction: a man is implanted with a microchip, and is now under control.
For a Swedish company, however, the practice of microchip implanting in its employees has become routine, and we can say that it is quite popular.
The company Epicenter, based in Stockholm, and its employees wait impatiently in the queue completely voluntarily to obtain the microchip implant. Implantation is not mandatory but to date there are over 150 people who "wore" as mentioned above, completely voluntarily the implant - a microchip that is about the size of a grain of rice.
But why;
According to Epicenter co-founder and CEO Mr. Patrick Mesterton, it's all about convenience. The implant works like key to open locked doors, it gives the code to operate the printers, but it also works like credit card for employees to buy something from the snack bar.
It is a modern solution to the problem we all face: transferring too many things.
Of course it's also something that offers a better status quo (for the implanted who tell their friends very proudly), but I'm not sure about that. Many modern cell phones use it technology the NFC to offer the same level of comfort without any other invasive procedure.
Personally, I would not be so comfortable knowing that under my skin I carry a microchip, that who knows who can control it…
