Microsoft: Windows 8.1 will be released October 18

Windows 8 1Η Microsoft has announced that Windows 8.1 will release 18 in October from Windows Store and retail stores and will be a free update for those who have already installed Windows 8.

Windows 8.1 will bring several new features. Within them will be the long awaited Start button, improvements to the modern work environment, and a whole bunch of other things that seem to be aimed at improving the look of the operating system. Of course, Microsoft has not mentioned anything about security improvements other than the new updated Internet Explorer that will reach 8.1 with Windows 11.

The date that Windows 8.1 will hit the RTM version has not been officially announced but will probably be in the last week of August.
