The new Microsoft 365 service is a big step by Microsoft in offering the Windows operating system as a monthly subscription service, which is reportedly moving away from one-off purchases.

Microsoft offered Windows 10 with subscription packages, but only for versions of Windows 10 Enterprise. The announcement of the new package by the company provides more options and seems to be another step towards changing the Windows trading license model.

The company said that οft 365 θα είναι διαθέσιμη σαν δύο ξεχωριστές υπηρεσίες: το Microsoft 365 Enterprise για μεγαλύτερες and Microsoft 365 Business for smaller businesses.

The differences between the two are the services provided in each package. For example, users of Microsoft 365 Enterprise will have access to an edition of Windows 10 Enterprise, while those who choose the Microsoft 365 Business package will have as their operating system Windows 10 Professional.

Both Micronsoft 365 Enterprise users and Micronsoft 365 Business users will have access to Office 365 for their employees as well as Cloud to manage employee and mobile accounts Enterprise Mobility + Security.

The MicroSoft 365 Enterprise package will be available in two options: Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5, which will be available for purchase from 1 August 2017.

Prices are currently unavailable.
