Microsoft today announced Secured-core computers. According to the company, they will be the safest Windows 10 devices out of the box, and will feature secure embedded hardware, firmware, software and authentication.
Windows OEM manufacturers must meet the very stringent security requirements listed by Microsoft to obtain this certification.
These new Secured-core PCs are aimed at people working with very sensitive data in industries, government, or financial services.
Features of Secured-core PCs:
Secured-core computers use hardware rooted security on the modern CPU to start the system safely, preventing any advanced malware from attacking the system and attacking the firmware level.
Once the CPU runs safely, the operating system takes control. Hypervisor enforced code ensures that all code at the core of the operating system is reliable.
Users can then securely connect to Windows Hello 2. Credential Guard ensures that identity and domain credentials are isolated and protected in a secure VBS environment.
Microsoft's Secured-core computers will be available from various OEM OEM manufacturers, such as Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, Panasonic and Surface. You can find out more from the following link:
