While Windows Phone users are hoping that Microsoft and Nintendo will find them and bring it Pokemon Go on Windows, the folks in Redmond are working feverishly on updates that will make Android and iOS users able to poke Pokemons.
An update released today for Onedrive which among other new features includes the ability to locate Pokemon from photos of your account, so you can easily find them wherever they are.
Here's how it works: If your phone's camera is configured to automatically load into your Onedrive account all the photos you take and also if you upload multiple screenshots from the game when you are looking for Pokemons, then the service allows you to easily find these photos that contain a monster but also find the photos of a particular monster, as long as you write the name of what you are looking for.
The OneDrive update brings some other news as well characteristics that are most useful for Windows users, including Auto Albums, which are photos grouped by location and time. These albums are created automatically if you enable the feature.
A new option called "On this Day" shows you photos you've taken in the past, and enhanced search lets you search for images, even with Emoji.
There are some goodies for users of Windows 10, as OneDrive provides improved support for the “Photos” app that comes pre-installed to make it easier to manage images in the cloud.
The new update is currently available in your Onedrive account for both desktop and laptop computers, so make sure you're running the latest version of the app to get you all the features.
