As it seems, Microsoft does not plan to invest in Windows RT.
Windows Vista is pretty much known as Microsoft's biggest operating system failure, but it looks like another one is on the way product will claim the title.
The RT Windows, which were first released in October 2012 alongside the Surface RT, are very likely to be discontinued in the near future. Microsoft has officially canceled the mode of OS on Lumia 2520 tablets.
Let's see what happened.
Windows RT performance has always been below expectations, and although available on Microsoft Surface RT tablets, the operating system was criticized by users and experts who were expecting a similar experience with Windows.
So, despite investments made in Window RT, Microsoft recently decided to stop Surface 2, which was the only tablet still in production and running with this operating system.
According to one report of PCM, the company also silently stopped Lumia 2520, a Nokia tablet that operated with Windows RT, for the same reason.
Windows RT clearly do not have a future in Microsoft's lineup, and there is no doubt that the company is looking for ways to get rid of it as soon as possible.
But there is no easy way to do this, as too many customers have already bought a tablet running Windows RT. So the company is forced to keep it until their official release Windows 10.
