Now you can talk to Copilot for free. It doesn't matter if you're outside the United States or on the free plan, Copilot Voice is now available to everyone.
Initially Microsoft announced the Copilot upgrade, to the new Copilot v2 but the voice function was missing in most regions, as the AI did not "speak" outside of the United States.
The new server-side update, which began rolling out in early November, enables Copilot Voice for everyone.
Microsoft didn't say where Copilot Voice will be released, but the list of supported countries now includes quite a few countries. But for now, Copilot Voice remains limited to the English language.
Copilot Voice often gets annoying because it talks more like an AI trying to be your digital friend than a tool that solves your problem.
When we talk about an AI assistant, we're generally referring to a tool that actually listens to you, responds with an answer, and doesn't throw out random words to sound cool. The new experience makes using Copilot for productivity extremely annoying.
Of course one can hope that Copilot will eventually become as good as ChatGPT and Gemini, but the last major update has not received good reviews and at the moment it is unclear when the situation will improve.
Congratulations thank you new good evening
