Microsoft We decide & order: Cortana only with Bing & Edge

Η is very proud of its digital assistant Cortana, and doesn't seem too happy when some people use it with a browser Chome and Google's search engine, instead of Edge and Bing.

As the company seems to have found the solution. A little radical, of course, but it perfectly serves her aspirations. Prohibited the use of any other browser and search engine except Edge and Bing.Cortana

Microsoft's excuse:

Unfortunately, as the use of Windows 10 has increased, we have seen some software programs bypass the design of Windows 10 and redirect you to look for service providers not designed to work with Cortana. The result is that the user experience that is less reliable and predictable is at stake. Jobs are disrupted if Cortana cannot use Bing as a search provider and Microsoft Edge as a browser. The only way we can confidently deliver this personalized, end-to-end search experience is through integration with Cortana, Microsoft Edge and Bing - all designed to do more for you.

Basically, the company claims that its results are worse if you use Google.

If Microsoft is concerned about the end-user experience with other browsers and search engines, it could simply add a warning to the settings that allow browser and search engine.

Microsoft emphasizes that today's announcement does not affect your ability to configure other browsers or search engines as your default. You can simply disable Cortana and continue to use Google, for example.

After all, Cortana belongs to Microsoft and does what it wants… But isn't it very childish behavior?

After the company's promise to make Windows more open during the of 2016, today's announcement seems quite counterproductive.
