Microsoft DaRT diagnostic and recovery tools

Microsoft DaRT (Diagnostics and Recovery Toolkit from Microsoft) Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset) provides a set of tools that help you change your desktop repair planning from reactive to proactive.

Based on the Windows Preinstallation Environment, DaRT is an official Microsoft utility suite that includes a registry editor, file explorer, error analyzer, as well as tools for restoring files, repairing disks, scanning for viruses, and more.

Among these the utility should have a new password applied to your Windows account with a few clicks.

Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (DaRT) allows you to diagnose and repair a computer that cannot start as expected or that is having startup problems.

Using DaRT, you can recover end-user computers that have become seemingly unusable, diagnose potential causes of problems, and quickly repair computers that cannot boot or are locked up.

When necessary, you can also quickly restore important lost files and detect and remove malware, even when the computer is offline.

DaRT allows you to create a DaRT recovery image in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Windows Imaging (WIM) file formats. The image can be burned to a CD, DVD, or USB. You can then use the recovery image files and deploy them locally, to a remote partition, or to a recovery partition.

DaRT is a key part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP), a dynamic solution available to Software Assurance customers that helps reduce software deployment costs, enables the delivery of applications as a service, and helps manage and control corporate desktop environments.
