Google released one emergency security update to fix a 0day in Chrome browser. The security breach, which was rated very high, was reported to the company on March 23, 2022. Google said it was already aware of vulnerability attacks. The company did not provide further details on the scope of the attacks or the targets of the hackers.
Microsoft has also released a security update for the Edge browser that fixes the same problem. Edge, like Chrome, supports automatic updates but does not install on real-time devices. So if you are using Edge check for updates manually to install the security update as soon as possible.

The new version of Edge is 99.0.1150.55 and will need to be restarted to complete the process. The update is available for all desktop operating systems supported by Edge.
Microsoft is monitoring the security gap in CVE-2022-1096, but does not provide additional information.
Microsoft Edge browser is known to be based on Chromium, the same kernel that Google's Chrome browser uses. So most security vulnerabilities that affect Google Chrome affect other Chromium-based browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Brave, or Opera.
