Η Microsoft αναβάθμισε το πρόγραμμα περιήγησης Edge στο σταθερό κανάλι στην έκδοση 108.0.1462.54 στις 16 Δεκεμβρίου του 2022. Η ενημέρωση περιέχει τις τελευταίες επιδιορθώσεις από την ομάδα του Chromium, μια επέκταση του δωρεάν όγκου δεδομένων VPN στο Edge από 1 σε 15 Gbyte. Και ένα τελευταίο στοιχείο: μια ενημέρωση Edge στις 14 Φεβρουαρίου 2023 θα τερματίσει τη λειτουργία του Internet Explorer στα Windows 10.

Months ago, it was reported that Edge had options to use a free VPN network (Microsoft Edge Secure Network) on its settings page. Back then a data transfer volume of 1 GByte was included. According to one user on reddit.com Microsoft increased the data volume per month to 15 GByte. 
It has been known for a long time that Microsoft wants to replace Internet Explorer in various versions of Windows 10. Also, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported as a desktop application in some versions of Windows 10 starting June 15, 2022. Exceptions will be they are only Windows 10 LTSC or Windows Server editions. Microsoft had announced it from May 2021.
So Microsoft disables Internet Explorer 11 on February 14 2023 and all calls to IE will be redirected to Edge.
